Taiko means drum in Japanese. Taiko is a simple, energetic and physical activity that all ages can enjoy and produce music. Tyke-Oh Japanese Drumming has 5 types of school activities. • Taiko Experience • Taiko Workshop • Advanced Taiko Workshop • Performance Course • Taiko Online CourseTaiko Experience
Taiko Experience is a show style program but provides a taste of Taiko for many students. If you have a big group of students but not enough time, we recommend Taiko Experience. 60 mins per session, Minimum 100 – Maximum 300 students Depending on how many students per session you book, the price per student will change. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us for more details.Taiko Workshop
Taiko Workshop is our most popular program. It is suited for all school sizes. Students will learn how to play the Taiko, the importance of teamwork and manners through this energetic Taiko Workshop. If you would like more hands- on activity for your school, we recommend Taiko Workshop. 50 mins per session, Minimum 30 – Maximum 52 students 5 – 6 sessions/day depending on the school timetable Please consult us before you decide on the size of the workshop.Advanced Taiko Workshop
Students who would like to extend their Taiko skills would benefit from these workshops. If the teachers are interested in their students making drums, we can use one session to make drums and could be playing them in the other. All students must attend both sessions. Advanced Taiko Workshop is physically demanding and recommended for older students. 100 mins x 1 sessions, Minimum 30 – Maximum 52 studentsPerformance Course
One week Performance Course can be organised for a school event performance. We will fully customise our Taiko Workshop for your school needs. Please contact us for more details.Taiko Online Course
Taiko Online Course is designed for schools that are aiming to play Taiko for a performance. The Basic Course contains 5 lessons to complete a mini-performance plus Taiko Making video. The school can use the online lesson repeatedly during their purchased period. No minimum or maximum number applied. Usage of account is limited to the purchased school.
